About My name is Linda McDonald and my sister, Cheryl and I own Beach Body Design Personal training and Pilates studio. I started Beach Body Design in 1986 to fill the need of many people that were looking for fitness programs that were based on their individual needs, not the mass marketing, group training mindset that all the large health clubs were using. I have been in the health and fitness industry since 1982 and have owned a women’s gym where we worked specifically with women providing them with fitness programs that catered to a woman’s needs. Cheryl has an extensive background as a physical therapist aid and massage therapist. Both Cheryl and I have taught group exercise, aerobics, step, spinning, trekking, healthy back classes, pilates, sculpting and boot camps just to name a few, we have seen trends in fitness come and go, we know what works and what doesn’t! Whatever your fitness needs, if you are just getting started, need a little boost from your existing fitness routine or really want to kick it up a notch we can show you how to get the most from your workouts!
